Your online success is determined by one major thing and one major thing in particular...
your willingness to spread your content as far and as wide as you can.
Period. Done.
Wrap it up, boys, this one's finished. You see, your side job, as a web owner, is to get as much attention to focus on your site as you can. At that point, it becomes a numbers game.
Notice I didn't say it was a numbers game from the outset? That's because too many of us get caught up in traffic redirection and link farming and black hat this and sombrero that. People who do not want what you have do NOT count in the numbers game...sorry.
The point is that even the MOST INTERESTED prospects in your goods and services (like someone who comes in from your natural search results) STILL will not buy 9 times out of 10. But they are a great candidate for buying at some point in the future.
That's why you need to cleverly release your content in your blogs, in your forum posts, in your video marketing efforts, on your MySpace and Facebook pages...everywhere.
And then you need to release even more of it on your home page to get THOSE PEOPLE TO OPT IN!!!
That's a lot of work, granted. But in many of those cases, that work is EXPONENTIAL...meaning if you get a #1 spot on a Google page for a keyword, the next one you get could bring in 4 times the traffic...and so on...because those links stay there!
They don't have to be rebuilt every day.
Now, what's with the headline up there? Well, we all know that crunchy peanut butter leaves those little pieces of peanut in between your teeth (so you will have to get those out) and even though we know that we can get it on DVD any time, that Casablanca is a great treat...but both those things take TIME.
And time is something you should have very little of if you are doing all you can to launch your site into the record books.
So let's get serious, shall we?
